Man, there is no good country music out there today. I would love if the flaming lips did a country album and mixed in a few covers of some obscure johnny cash or some gram parsons or the byrds or something like that. i think i remember the lips saying early on their sound was like country on acid or something like that. id love something twangy and distorted. maybe bring beck in on it for a couple tracks.
